I’m poor. I’m disabled. I have been abused for 10+ years. I come home to people who tell me I’m worthless and better off dead every day.

I worked for this. This wasn’t handed to me on a platter: I scoured for opportunities and I worked. I have every fucking right to be proud, so yes, I will verbalize that, I will talk about it, I will brag, because I deserve that right and so does everyone else.
