Pairings that consist of an evil-aligned character who’s well aware of how selfish they are/an extremely neutral-good aligned character who’s self sacrificial to a fault and actively criticizes and is criticized by the selfish character but they’re still really close and understanding friends who act like an old bickering married couple are my weakness

Especially when the selfish character is discreetly protecting the selfless character at all costs
